889 A Window to Individual Surgical Training Plans

Abstract Introduction A recent publication in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal (Rohrich et al., 2020) has attracted controversy for its generalised approach to “millennial” plastic surgeons. We suggest that surgeons training, trainers colleagues need adjust their focus from group individual order maximise clinical performance, quality of working life care delivered patients. Method outline a simple model, adapted Johari window tool, with aim delivering job training plan which all parties are content. It considers ability process scenarios perform tasks (bandwidth), resources available trainee, assess each aspect role. Results No two clinicians have same strengths weaknesses, no posts identical. The Johari-like matrix allows trainees identify activities firmly within bandwidth those clearly not, may cause some concern require further discussion or modification. Conclusions In this we framework help alike provide means recording longitudinally as individuals roles evolve.
